Multi-season: Triple your chances for deer, elk success

Applications available until March 31

--

Make this year’s big-game hunting season one to remember by entering the WDFW Multi-season deer and elk tags drawings.

Multi-season deer and elk tag applications offer you a chance to extend your hunting season and get in on special hunts under any weapon type.

Why apply?

If selected for the 2023 Multi-season tag, you can hunt in any open unit during all general seasons starting with archery, then muzzleloader, and finally modern firearm, to get in more hunting days and increase your odds of success. The bag limit is still one animal.

If selected, you also can:

· Apply for special hunts under any weapon type

· Hunt in both Eastern and Western Washington with an elk Multi-season tag

By the numbers

· Applications are available until March 31

· Resident application fee: $7.10

· Youth: $3.80

· Non-resident application fee: $110.50

How does it work?

1. Buy your applications

The first step is to purchase your application now through March 31. You can buy at a license vendor, online at https://www.mywdfw.com, or by calling 360–902–2464. If you are applying as an individual, your application is automatically submitted. You only need to submit if you are applying as a group (maximum of two individuals).

If you are applying as a group, you can submit in two ways: online at fishhunt.dfw.wa.gov or call 360–902–2464.

You don’t need to purchase a deer or elk license and tag before purchasing a Multi-season application. If you prefer to buy your licenses early, especially with the Get Outdoors license package, go ahead and get the licenses but be sure to hold off on getting your deer or elk transport tag if you’re submitting a Multi-season application. That way if you’re drawn for Multi-season, you can buy your Multi-season tag without having to first surrender a single-weapon transport tag. If you win a Multi-season tag but already have your tag, refer to the hunting regulations for information.

2. Check drawing results

Drawing results will be posted in your WILD account in April. Winners without an email will be notified by mail. See regulations for additional information, rules, and program details.

3. Buy Multi-season deer or elk tag

If selected, you must purchase the corresponding tag before midnight, July 31. Multi-season deer tags cost $139.10 while a Multi-season elk tag costs $182.

4. Second chance

Those who enter the drawing but do not win will have a chance in the summer to buy leftover Multi-season deer and elk tags, but you need to enter the drawing before March 31 for that chance.

Get yours today

You can buy your Multi-season deer and elk tag applications today by visiting https://www.mywdfw.com, calling 360–902–2464, or going to a license dealer near you.
